- Miss Louise Tray
My name is Miss Tray and I am Year 6 Class Teacher and English Lead for the Lower School. I am currently in my 6th year at The John Wallis Academy.
I am an avid reader and spend much of my time with my head in a good book – I hope to pass this love of reading onto the pupils. During the holidays, I love to travel and ‘attempt’ to learn new languages; as part of my teacher training, I was lucky enough to teach in a school in Madrid for a month.
I believe that ‘excellence’ in the context of education, means putting our young people at the centre of everything that we do – it is about so much more than simply academic results, it is about educating hearts and minds. Education has the power to transform lives and therefore we are privileged to be a part of this important journey of our pupils and students, we want them to thrive and excel in all areas so that they can achieve their dreams. We are committed to making this happen.
I believe that the opportunities and experiences that our pupils and students have, across the curriculum, are fantastic. During my time at the Academy, I have witnessed a huge variety of projects working with the local and wider community that have offered our young people real-life experiences that have made a real difference to the lives of others.
